A HUGE advantage in any prot paladins arsenal. Basically it's a 10% chance after you're struck in combat to generate 4 additional weapon attacks. When you've got(Cheap WoW Gold) seal of light up, you're talking about the potential for SERIOUS healing. And when you're tanking which I'll discuss later on, more holy dmg = more threat, always good. MUST HAVE
Sacred Duty - meh... 6% is good and reducing the cd of your shield is good too, not gamebreaking but better than your other options in this tier of the tree :D
Holy Shield - MUST HAVE. Increases block chance by 30% and does holy dmg to anyone who's attack you block. BRILLIANT talent. Get improved as well, nothing wrong with increasing the damage it does and the charges it has especially with a ton of mobs hitting you =D
Combat Expertise - Expertise is a lovely stat. Each point of expertise reduces your attacks' chance to be parried or dodged by 0.25%. That means that 5/5 Combat Expertise, other than the 10% HP, gives also 2.5% chance to hit. And also, reduces the chance of burst damage due to parry mechanic. "Worldi"
Avenger's Shield - MUST HAVE. Causes massive threat, great way to pull mobs in instances and if you've got the mana to spare, good way to throw some extra wham bam thank ya ma'am on the mobs you're fighting =D I'm a fan.
The rest of the points in my tree as you can see I've put into the holy tree until I hit lvl 70. There's nothing wrong with increasing your mana by 10% or reducing the chance to be interrupted or pushed back when using your heals. Aura Mastery is seriously blah for a 3rd tier 1 point talent. The 3 points in improved holy light and flash of light is purely to back up the heals again. All decent but you could go down the ret tree with as much effectiveness if you chose, up to you lads and ladies =D
*edit* according to a poster below Ardent Defender is also a very good talent. When the pally is below 35% health the amount of damage taken is reduced by 30%. If you dig on that and wanna help your healers out some then go for it, I can certainly see the attraction =D As well as that, when you're talking end game stuff, ie. Heroics, and Raids, 30% reduction in damage taken off the trash and bosses is quite signifigant! :D According to Evilhealbot below, an imba healer, Ardent Defender is something that should not be counted on ie. the paladin shouldn't be trying to stay at 35% or below health to have this ability active. It is more of a panic button type of passive ability. Therefore, stay at max health, but if you go below, there's no (Gold WoW)harm in having this passive ability on your side =D
