First I'll discuss the strengths and weaknesses that I find (WoW Gold)in the paladin's tanking arsenal. Keep in mind that this is my opinion, and if you feel otherwise, feel free to post and tell me i'm a niblet etc. just try to keep the language mild for the children. And we're off.
Basically a paladin tank has a great deal of (WoW Gold)strengths as well as weaknesses that I found most prevalent while playing and they are as follows.
A paladin causes so much threat if they do it properly that shooting the boss in the face with a rocketlauncher would be a minor annoyance at most. Whereas a warrior has to basically sunder each and every mob a few times in order to hold aggro, while shield slamming, keeping up demo shout, and thunderclapping, a paladin just has to keep up consecration to tick off all the mobs.
The other day I was in Underbog with a group of friends, we were the appropriate level for the instance and we were having a blast until... surprise surprise the mage ran off ahead and came back screaming that he had pulled two groups of 5 mobs. I did a quick calculation, realized that I was a paladin and that failure was not an option and charged forward to my ultimate glorification.
The point of this dramatized tale is to tell you what I did and how it worked.
Running straight into 10 mobs, I put up seal of righteousness, which does a set amount of holy dmg per melee attack you hit the (WoW Gold)mob with. So basically if you're melee weapon hits for 100 on average without seal of righteousness up, you can count on the actual melee damage of 100 and then add on another chunk of holy damage which is great for (a) taking down the mob and (b) keeping threat with righteous fury =D As well as this, if you judge any mob with SoR up, it's like a chunk of holy damage in their face which is great for holding threat after that pesky mage pyroblasts. Saves your Righteous Defense (aka taunt) for a more dire situation.
