06 I favour pure mitigation AND more HP

As a horde character you're an inferior main tank - Every class has a better racial than you to get(WoW Gold) the job done and you can't even begin to compare a blood elf paladin health pool to that of a tauren Druid or Warrior. You also have no fear-breaking mechanics apart from bubble, which isn't very tank-friendly - While the Alliance have two races with Fear Ward.

The principle behind "It doesn't matter if paladins take 5% more damage because most (Cheap WoW Gold)healing will overheal by 20% anyway" is incorrect. Regardless of your tank's health, the same amount of overheal will always be produced. Healers will always heal a specific amount to ensure the tanks health is topped off at 100% and then some - You will recieve exactly the same overheal, just more often as you take more damage.

Also, I have learned first-hand of the lack of panic buttons a paladin has, while it is true a paladin can pop the most threat per second - Your damage taken may require a DPS class to be sacrificed for a healer.

Also, you have to remember that on a boss the DPS will pace themselves anyway and warriors have no problem holding aggro at all. It doesn't matter if you generate 200% more threat than a warrior, if the DPS wouldn't do enough damage to overtake the warrior anyway.

Block and stamina help smooth out damage taken to a more steady controllable number; more healing will be required but it will be more controllably spread. Block is the cheapest stat and allows for more other stats such as a largerer hp pool to help dmg taken to be controllable to heal as well.
Of course, but once again you seem to think that taking steady damage is better than taking none at all. If you focus on pure block, you will find healers are out of mana much earlier, because while you are taking less damage as your block value is higher, you're taking it far, far more often.

It would be worthy to note here that a warrior can indeed focus purely on block, mitigation and stamina at the same time - Achieving greater block values than a paladin, greater mitigation and greater stamina. Yes, you can have mitigation, avoidance and stamina all in one package.

You should never base your tanking around trying to be hit but reducing a small amount of that hit damage - If you've blocked a Maulgar 12000(Cheap WoW Gold) damage arcing blow, you'll know it still hurts like the bejesus. If you've dodged it or parried it, you'll know healers can take their panic-buttons off standby for another round of attacks.
